Reading Assignment 3: What is the relation between politics and globalization? -Youngryun,Chun

 1. Summary

Multidimensional and accelerated globalization approaches the social world, which emphasizes not only the consciousness of the people but also the transnational process. As an example of political globalization, democracy is being applied to many countries. Also, we can talk about a global normative culture. This political globalization shows the versatility of globalization.

With the development of political globalization, the globalization of national states, namely the model and institutionalized governance of political states, has been created. In addition, a global normative culture emerged. This has spread the universality of democracy, but it also creates shortcomings in democracy around the world. But political globalization works to keep the nation stable. The resulting development of multinational networks, especially the global civil society, creates new opportunities. The perception of new political acts and ways of governance creates new values.

2. What I learned

I knew that globalization was an important part of society now, but I learned specifically about its power in politics. It was amazing that simple thoughts were caused by these actions, and it gave me an opportunity to think about what globalization was doing about future phenomena.

3.“What is the relation between politics and globalization?

Political globalization is less relevant to the state and cannot be reduced to globalization, while economic entities such as great powers spread and embody the world. With globalization combined with the political environment, new relationships are emerging through a vast network and relatively free mobility and communication. Politics based on ethnicity has turned into an order related to the concept of global civil society due to globalization.
