Is globalization good or bad? What do you think? / Jeong hye min

I think globalization is good.
Currently, each country is not independent and is related to each other. Therefore, there are more exchanges with each other in various fields. We can work together to influence, to develop the country and solve problems. As a result, economic profits also increase.

[Blog Assignment 1] WVS analysis : Confidence of governments in each nations

Since the outbreak of the Covid- 19 virus, government intervention in quarantine and public support has increased, making the role of the government very important.  However, depending on the public's perception of the government, I was thought that accepting the government's action would be different.  So, through the WVS, I decided to analyze how each country perceives each country's government. First survey question is confidence about their government. Most of country answered "Quite a lot" as 35.9%.  What should be noted is that China accounted for the largest percentage in a great deal overwhelmingly.   People in China were very confident about their government.  But I thought there must be another reason for this result. [Blog Project Assignment 2] Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory : South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States

  I would like to compare the cultural differences between East Asia and the West based on Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory. So, I chose Korea and Japan as East Asian countries and the united kingdom and the United States as Western countries. Of course these countries do not represent the whole, but we can make a rough comparison through looking at each Hofstede's cultural dimensions by country. First, let's look at the power distance dimension. The greater the value, the greater the degree of compliance with power. East Asian countries score higher than Western countries. We could guess that the order of hierarchy in East Asian countries is relatively stricter than in the West. I think it stems from a Confucian culture that values age and respect for the elderly and the late introduction of democracy.
