On Globalization

Since the 1990s, with the end of the cold war, the rapid development of science and technology, the rapid development of transnational corporations, the increasing interdependence and influence of national economies, and the acceleration of globalization. The increasing development of globalization is an important factor directly related to the prospects of world economic development. Economic globalization is the objective requirement and inevitable result of the development of social productivity and science and technology. The increasing economic and trade activities among countries and regions and the rapid spread of knowledge and technology are conducive to promoting the optimal allocation of economic factors on a global scale and improving economic benefits. The increasingly close economic and technological ties between countries and regions not only bring new opportunities for the development of countries and regions, but also a positive factor for promoting world peace and stability.

However, the negative impact of globalization can not be ignored. Globalization has increased the risk of economic operation of various countries, especially the economic sovereignty and economic security of developing countries in a weak position are facing new challenges. The gap between the rich and the poor between the north and the South has widened further. Even in developed countries, due to the adjustment and change of economic structure formed by the adoption of high and new technology, the interests of a considerable number of workers and the people are also damaged. Various forms of trade protectionism are on the rise. A few countries also take advantage of globalization to force their own values, economic and social systems to other countries. If these problems are not solved, the healthy development of globalization will not be possible, and it will not be conducive to the common cause of peace and development of mankind.

The Chinese government advocates that through the joint efforts of the international community and on the basis of full participation and democratic consultation of all countries, effective international rules should be formulated so that the process of globalization can be properly guided and managed, and that it will be conducive to narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor between the North and the south, realizing the common development and prosperity of all countries, and benefiting all members of the international community, especially the development of China All families benefit from it, which is conducive to promoting the balanced, stable and sustainable development of the world economy. All countries should be allowed to choose the development path according to their own national conditions, and determine the mode and speed of opening up; countries should be encouraged to strengthen cultural exchanges on the basis of mutual respect, so as to inject new vitality into the progress of human society. We should jointly deal with challenges and risks in order to realize universal development and security of all countries in the world. The international community should further carry out international cooperation based on the principle of equality and mutual benefit, and especially strengthen its support and assistance to developing countries. To solve all kinds of problems in today's world economic development, it depends on the establishment of a fair and reasonable new international economic order. All countries should make their own efforts to curb the negative impact of globalization. As the beneficiaries of globalization, developed countries, especially big economic countries, should take greater responsibility. At the same time, as the most universal and representative organization in the world, the United Nations should play a central role in managing and regulating globalization.
