Out of the three dimensions of globalization: cultural, political and economics, which is the most important, and why?
I think the most important dimension is politics. Culture and economy are important, but I think policies in charge of institutional aspects are the most important.
I would like to take 'Heungseon Daewongun' as an example who is a royalist and politician of the late Joseon dynasty.
Heungseon Daewongun implemented 'isolationist policy'. This policy had a great impact on the globalization of Joseon. Because of this isolationist policy, Joseon couldn't interact with other countries. This policy has been a major stumbling block to Joseon's acceptance of globalization.
I think culture, economy is important demension, too. Countries can accept some economic support to embrace globalization, and culture can promote globalization. (ex. K-POP, BTS)
But I thought, since the most basic policies allowes on them, I think economic or cultural exchanges are possible.
