What is the relation between Wikipedia and collective intelligence? / Kim Yoon(김윤)
I think Wikipedia is relevant in that it can be a 'connection' of collective intelligence.
First, one piece of information in Wikipedia is made by gathering different people from different countries. For example, if a person wants to publish on Wikipedia articles about social phenomena, events, character information, or academic knowledge, he or she registers it with a note of what he or she knows. Then others look at it and add another fact they know. As people with diverse knowledge in such diverse fields gather in one article, the writing gradually becomes rich and useful. Wikipedia has millions, tens of millions of these articles.
Secondly, Wikipedia is a link not only in the collective intelligence of modification within Wikipedia, but also in the potential to extend it offline. People access Wikipedia for information. Then you can discuss the thoughts of yourself and others about the article in the office, in the classroom. In this process, a new collective intelligence occurs.Today, people can communicate with people all over the world without being restricted by borders, race, age, etc. One of the places is Wikipedia. If you search and access Wikipedia, Wikipedia exists in various languages. And there's so much information in it. Wikipedia has a translation function, so it is rare to feel language discomfort in obtaining information. In a society where information has become important, Wikipedia is a very important and promising forum.
