Analyzing Hofstede value: Australia and 3 countries in Northeast Asia

I compared Australia and 3 countries in Northeast Asia.

Most noticeable value is 'Individualism'. Among 3 countries in Northeast Asia, Japan has highest point in 'Individualism' part. In Japan, there is a culture 'Hon-bab'. It means having meals alone. The culture had spread in Korea too. Before that, Korean hesitated visit restaurant alone because Korean had thought people should have meals with others like family. In this point, Japan seemed have more individualism. But it is still lower than Australia. Japanese said they afraid others eyes because it makes them think they are in surveillance. And that makes Japanese doing something alone for avoid others surveillance. So, Japanese 'Individualism' point is not only highest in Northeast Asia but lower than Australia.

In 'Masculinity' part, Japan has highest point among 4 countries. In japan, fierce competition continued to be a problem. For resolve, Japan made 'Yutori generation'. 'Yutori' means relaxation. Students in 'Yutori generation' are educated without competition. But Japanese criticized them because 'Yutori generation' didn't have passion. It means Japanese still think competition in society is necessary. The lowest country was Korea. But I can't admit this result. Because I have experienced too many competition and meritocracy.
