[Blog Assignment 1] WVS analysis : University is more important for a boy than for a girl / Men make better political leaders than womens do
This is <University is more important for a boy than for a girl> investigation surveyed on the WVS website in 2017-2020. This is the result of a survey of China, Japan, Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Despite the latest results, more than 10 percent of the respondents, excluding the U.S. and Britain, answered "Agree". Korea has 33 percent of the “Agree” respondents, including 27.6 percent who said they agree and 6.1 percent who said they agree very much. More than three out of ten people in Korea agreed to the question. South Korea's "Strongly disagree" rate is 14.8 percent, the lowest among the five countries. The survey shows that gender discrimination in Korea is the worst among the five countries.
The second investigation is <Men make better political leaders than women do>. Similar to the previous survey, the survey was conducted in five countries: China, Japan, South Korea, the United States and the United Kingdom.
We can see that the ratio of "agree" and "disagree" in China and South Korea is almost identical at 50:50. Among them, 52 percent of South Koreans agreed to the question, with the highest percentage among the five countries agreeing. You can easily see the Korean culture of judging politicians by gender, not by ability. It was a survey that showed that South Korea's gender discrimination was severe compared to other countries around it.
