Blog assingment2 Hofstede's cultural dimensions theory/Han seung gu
I researched England, Korea, and China through the Hopsteade's cultural dimension theory.
Power distance was China's highest with 80, while Britain's was the lowest. Through this, it is easy to accept patriarchal power relations in China, and it is easy for subordinates to accept them. Britain can see that power relations are more interdiscriminatory and democratic.Individualism was unrivaledly high in Britain. This means that individual rights in the UK are of considerable value and that they act as individuals rather than as members of the organization. China and Korea were about 20 similar.
Korea had the highest Uncertificate Avoidance. This means that Korea is more cautious in its emotional trends and social changes. China and Britain saw the figure as low as 30.
Masculinity was equal in China and England at 66. Through this, it can be seen that the two countries value competitiveness, self-assertion and ambition. Korea had a figure of 39 and emphasized the concept of commitment more than the two countries.
Long term orientation showed Korea at 100. This means that Korea is giving more value to the future of society. The United Kingdom stood at 50, indicating that it is more conservative than South Korea.
Indergence was low in Asian countries and high in Britain. This shows that Asian countries have low levels of indelgence.
