Globalization

After the epidemic, countries will certainly reflect on whether there are defects in the theory of comparative advantage advocated by western economics, and whether it is not fully considered? If the other country is a rogue state, it will often take the opportunity to interfere in its internal affairs and damage its sovereignty. Therefore, countries will consider moving the production of national necessities, especially disaster prevention materials, back to China, or building their own production chain to ensure the supply of essential goods. This will lead to challenges to the "center periphery" dependent international economic relations evolved from the "suzerain colony" economic model, and will be adjusted to a certain extent. This is the process of countries from dependence to independence, which is caused by the law of growth.

However, with the development of globalization, even if we get rid of the dependence on the central country, it is difficult to close up and produce all the needs of the country independently. Because this will face the challenge of three powerful forces: first of all, it will face the problem of consumers' choice. According to human nature, they will definitely like high-quality and low-cost consumer goods, and all of them are produced in our country. It is impossible for all products to achieve this. Secondly, each country will face a problem of market capacity and production cost. Countries with large market capacity and low production costs (advanced technology) will certainly have an advantage. In this way, in order to ensure the emergency materials and strategic materials needed by countries with less production advantages, it is better to purchase foreign high-quality and low-cost commodities for strategic reserve. As a result, it is expected that most countries will maintain their independence in case of emergency by increasing their strategic reserves, rather than producing every necessity by themselves. Third, in order to obtain more profits, capital must distribute production to low-cost countries. Therefore, the starting point of production layout between capitalists and their own rulers is different. From the above three aspects, globalization will continue to develop.
