What is globalization/ han seung gu

Roland Robertson and Kathleen E. White. The biggest point of globalization they have said is global consciousness and global connectivity. I can also say what I thought of globalization through two points.

As the technology of the world progresses, countries are closely connected to each other. The relationship will become closer in the future. The cultures of other countries will appear naturally in our society someday. Under these circumstances, what is most needed is understanding of culture. This is an act of understanding culture(practice, customs etc) created in different environments. But that doesn't mean that you accept it unconditionally. The circumstances of the country should be considered and the validity of the culture should be discussed continuously. In the process, you will have to refrain from criticism without discipline. And globalization should not be defined at will. This is because globalization, defined as one, is eventually used as a means of ostracizing other countries. Of course, it is not easy to accept the formation of a culture that began with something else. However, ostracizing culture alone, when everyone is in a super-jointed relationship, actually harms various fields, including economic politics, in a capitalist society. In other words, engagement and tolerance have become a prerequisite.

Globalization is too complex for the link to calculate what has spread to what extent. This is because words such as politics, economy, culture, and society contain similar areas, although they have different words. For example, in the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and the World Trade Organization (WTO), countries around the world trade economic resources. These extend beyond just economic dimensions to politics. This is because, according to political calculations, countries propose treaties. Also, culture affects society. An example is the spirit of democracy spreading to autocratic states. As such, globalization has a complex connection. This means that we dare not restrain it.

It never means a lack of understanding of cultural relativity. In terms of recognizing each other's culture, we will have to acknowledge and accept various areas and complexities (endless discussions and international arbitration will be necessary if we cannot recognize other's culture).
