What's the difference between UN and ASEAN? / Jeong hyemin

The United Nations stands for United Nations. It is an international organization established to prevent war and maintain peace, and 193 countries are joined.

ASEAN stands for the Association of South-East Asian Nations and is the 10-member Association of Southeast Asian Nations.

The difference between the two is the state. The United Nations is an international organization that targets the world, but ASEAN is targeted at Southeast Asian countries.

The purpose of the establishment is also different. The former was established to establish the economic and social foundations of the region, while the latter was established for peace.

The United Nations is located in New York, USA, and ASEAN is located in Jakarta, Indonesia.
