Blog Assignment 1_WVS analysis / Taeyi Lim

I looked at data from Japan, Korea, and the United States on trust.

First of all, it is data about trust in family. In general, family members trust everything. Among them, Korea has the highest response rate. Although the United States has a relatively high percentage of full trust, it can be seen that there are quite a few percentages of trust.

The following data show confidence in the neighborhood. The neighbors were less reliable than their families. Still, most of them were found to have some confidence, and the three countries showed little difference. We can also see that there are respondents who don't trust their neighbors at all.

The following data show confidence in people you know personally. Personally, people who know each other have a similar credibility to their neighbors. Also, the interesting thing about this place can be seen in the United States. Few people believed completely in their neighbors, but people they knew personally showed a high rate of unconditional trust.

The following data show confidence in people you meet for the first time. Anyone who has seen it for the first time can agree that the rate of complete belief is significantly low because there is little information that anyone knows. In addition, most of the respondents said they did not trust much, and the number of respondents who did not believe at all increased significantly compared to the previous data.

The following data show confidence in people of different nationalities. Here, you can see that the U.S. and South Korea have a noticeable proportion of respondents. The United States had the highest percentage of respondents who believed in people of different nationalities, while the highest percentage of respondents said they did not believe in Korea. Japan also had a high percentage of respondents who said they did not believe it, but also a high percentage of those who did not know.

Finally, it is data that shows trust in people with different religions. This shows results that are almost similar to data showing the degree of trust in other nationalities ahead. However, the degree of trust in people with different religions was slightly higher than that of people of different nationalities.
