Is globalization good or bad? What do you think?

Globalization has many positive elements. This is because it can develop through many exchanges between countries. One of the reasons science and technology is developing rapidly is also globalization. Modern science and technology are developing much faster than the speed of science in the pre-modern period, because various science and technology are being developed all over the world, and the developed technology is rapidly spreading around the world through exchanges. The proliferated technology influences technology research in other fields, helping to achieve faster technology development. As this structure is formed in a virtuous cycle, science and technology can develop faster in the modern period than in the pre-modern period.

However, there are also criticisms that only a small number of developed countries develop and the gap with developing countries or underdeveloped countries is widening. In particular, regional variations are severe, mainly in the northern hemisphere, while countries in the northern hemisphere are wealthy, while many in the southern hemisphere do not provide basic livelihoods. The gap between the rich and the poor has been steadily continuing from the era of imperialism to the present day, and among the reasons that caused this gap was the influence of imperialism. Europe and a number of developed countries exploited the resources of developing and underdeveloped countries during the colonial period and created borders at their own discretion without understanding them, which were tribal-centered, and many countries in Africa are constantly experiencing internal division within their countries.

In order to reduce the dysfunction of globalization, active support and cooperation from developed countries to underdeveloped or developing countries is required. In the case of Korea, although Korea was colonized by Japan and became involved in an ideological war, there was a division between the nations, but it has risen to the ranks of advanced countries. One of the reasons this was possible was support from developed countries. Immediately after the war, Korea received rice, sugar, and flour from the United States, and related industries developed in Korea at that time. Based on this, it was possible to develop light industry industries such as wigs and clothing, and later, high-tech heavy industry industries. Of course, it was possible to develop due to the efforts of the people, but it is clear that the support of developed countries served as the foundation for development in the early stages of industrialization. Therefore, in order to lead globalization in a positive direction, it is necessary to actively support and cooperate with developed countries to underdeveloped and developing countries.
