Poverty in Korea is affecting mostly the elderly, Why do you think this is the case?

Frankly, it is also true that any country is poor because the elderly lack the ability to engage in economic activities and have no practical ability to generate income.

However, I think the reason why poverty among the elderly in Korea is particularly problematic is because of the lack of institutions such as the welfare system and indifference to the elderly.
South Korea feels that the welfare system lacks a welfare system, especially for the elderly. I think the elderly are dying alone every year, which leads to indifference toward the elderly. The lack of such a welfare system and indifference can only lead to the poverty of the elderly.
However, is that much more serious in Korea than in other countries such as the elderly and poverty? I can't agree much about that.
Surely other countries will experience similar phenomena, and it is not just Korea's problem.
