Reading Assignment 4 - What is the relation between economy and globalization? - Youngryun,Chun

 1. Summary

Economic globalization is evident in business enterprises. Border boundaries are being torn down and increasingly global enterprises are developing. Starting with manufacturing companies in continents such as the United States and Britain from the 19th century, global economic enterprises have increased exponentially. These global entities have the power to coordinate and control operations in one or more countries. They cross national boundaries and form complex relationships. The reason why they form a multinational corporation is because of market-oriented investment and asset-oriented investment. They engage in mergers and acquisitions through contracts with other companies to develop transnational activities. In addition, more than one company is reborn as a global company through strategic cooperation. The state announces regulatory policies to manage these companies, but the complex political system and flexible transnational networks make it difficult to regulate them.

2. What learned?

I was able to learn how transnational corporations were created and what motivated them. Also, we could predict the potential for future growth through globalization.

3. What is the relation between economy and globalization?

The combination of economy and globalization has created a tremendous transnational enterprise. Not only the expansion of exports but also the mergers and acquisitions of global companies and strategic collaboration often blur the boundaries of the country. Globalization has enabled creative economic activity. I think globalization will also develop as more technical parts expand in the future. This will create more transnational companies.
