Status markers include Income/wealth but also Age/Race /Sex /Education/Occupation /Residence. Which are more important?/PARK HYE MIN(박혜민)
I totally agree that wealth is not everything. Today, society is more complex and diverse. Social status does not simply include wealth, but includes various conditions, among which I think education is important. There are many reasons, and I think race, gender, age, etc. are parts that cannot be changed by my will. Of course, you can change your last name and nationality. But what I want to talk about is that I can't set it in the direction I want from the start. Most of the time, it is first set by their parents and their country.
But education is different from what we talked about earlier. It may vary from country to country, but in the case of Korean society, high school education is essential. Through this common sense of compulsory education, one can learn new things and develop one's ability. This ability makes you capable of finding, understanding, accepting, and applying information to yourself. So I think that my job and future life change depending on how I get an education, and my social status can also be made with my will and effort.
