Out of the three dimensions of globalization: cultural, political and economics, which is the most important, and why? / JeongYoon Oh
In my opinion, cultural aspects are the most important in globalization.
Culture is not coercive, but penetrates people's thoughts and daily lives without a sense of rejection. For example, K-pop and K-drama cultures, such as songs and dramas, helped the world learn about Korean culture without without compulsion. Just looking at BTS's Billboard No. 1 record in September 2020, it proves that cultural aspects helped Korea's globalization the fastest rather than any policy or economic aspect. The reason why Korean culture has become enjoyable not only in Korea but also around the world is because it has penetrated the daily lives of people all over the world. Of course, K-pop and K-drama are not the only examples. For example, in 2018, a spicy Chinese-style soup called "Maratang" became very popular in Korea, and Maratang became a daily food culture, not a special food anymore, which could be an example of globalization. The cultural aspect is soft, but it is a strong factor that promotes globalization most quickly.
