why are you taking this class? / song hui seon


The most important reason why I decided to take this class is because I’m interested in this field.

And the other reason is that World is getting become one beyond race, sex, culture and so on. We need to prepare accordingly as the next generation of leaders. But I think I have lack of understanding about globalization sociology. I might have more information and broader understanding of globalization. And many problems we were going through can’t deal with by just one country anymore. It’s more complicated. political things, disease, protest and war like this are intertwined between countries. So I felt we have to be interested in the global sociology to live better.


Also I knew that this class using the Wikipedia. Wikipedia is one of the famous information page. But I didn’t use it that much until now. As you said Wikipedia is good example of collective intelligence. So Learning how to use Wikipedia definitely will be helpful to me. And this class have to read some article related with global issue and write down my thinking and we can discuss about that through blog. In that process, I think I can gain critical thinking and English writing skills. I'm really excited to take this class.
