Why are you taking this class? / Choi Sojeong

When I was young, my uncle studied in China. Sometimes, my uncle used to give me the things he bought from China as a gift when he came to Korea. But now, even if I don't go to China, I can easily buy such things.

It's not just things anymore. We can now watch K-pop singers on foreign TV programs. And we can also see foreigners enthusiastic about K-pop singers. For example, recently BTS topped the Billboard chart.

But when I took the class, not only culture but also economics and political are important factors. But I still seem to understand only 'cultural globalization'. So I want to learn how not only culture but also economics, political are globalized through class.

And I'm working for an advertising company now. In order to advertise a brand, it's necessary to grasp not only Korea but also globalization trends. So I think studying globalization will definitely help a lot. I wish I could apply the theory I learned in this class to practice.
