What is the relation between politics and globalization?/ Jeong Ye-Chan

 summary

Political globalization concerns not only awareness of the compressed nature of space and time, but also access to the social world, which emphasizes the post-national and supranational processes.
In globalized literature, political globalization emphasized the decline of ethnic states due to the influence of world powers, while developing supranational networks and streams, and creating different kinds of politics resulting from the process of desegregation. While the process of political globalization opens up the possibility of new liberations, globalization, for some, leads to a loss of autonomy and division of the social world. The political globalization we advocate can be understood as tension between the three processes that interact to produce complex areas of world politics: world geopolitics, world norm culture and pluralistic network. The logic of globalization excludes the central logic of political modernity in expressing internal conflicts within the political framework of the autonomous division, but globalization may strengthen democracy, but it may also divide democracy by transferring autonomy to capitalism. The three dynamics of political globalization focus on four social transformation examples: the transformation of nationality and citizenship, the public sphere and political communication, civil society, and space and borders.

Interesting point

I was impressed by the fact that the development of polycentric networks, especially civil society around the world, creates new opportunities for autonomy, recognizes new actors and new ways of control, but at the same time creates new anxieties and dangers.
Saying that civil society activists around the world do not necessarily work for peace, freedom and democratization, they called civil society's so-called "‘dark-side’ of civil society" They say that they tend to create new political spaces and transnational networks where terrorists, drugs and the public can easily divert them by appointing themselves as spokespeople, which are advocated by all perpetrators of civil society, lack of responsibility, lack of democratic qualifications and lack of cause.

Discussion

Typical examples of political globalization include the United Nations and the EU.
This political globalization is a double-edged sword.
The first positive effect is that the consensus among different peoples widens, the leaders of different countries get to know about different countries, and can gain more political advantages.
The negative effect is that the culture of the country may disappear or disappear mixed
I am of the opinion that the positive effect of the two views is greater. I wonder what other people think.
